The Power of visual meditation can be summed up in one sentence…..
“Visualize this thing that you want, see it, feel it, believe in it. Make your mental blueprint, and begin to build”
-Robert Collier
You’ve probably heard the old saying, “ the body won’t go where the mind has not gone first”. Our subconscious mind can’t tell the difference between reality and that is vividly imagined. Therefore if you put a realistic image before your subconscious mind, it will believe in it and figures out how to manifest it. Then it uses will its creative force to bring it into existence. The best way to do this is with visual meditation.
When you visualize something effectively, your subconscious mind uses the image as a map to keep you on track getting you closer to manifesting that mental picture. The best way to practice visualization is by doing it in a form of meditation.
The Visual Imagery Meditation
Visual imagery meditation is simply about visually imagining a scenario in your mind just like a daydream, and imagining yourself as part of it. To obtain the best result, you have to engage all your senses—touch, sight, smell, taste and sound to construct a realistic image. If you incorporate visual imagery into your daily routine, it will make the law of attraction much more powerful for you. Here are the steps you have to follow:
Step 1: Knowing What You Want
In order to make your visualization practice work, you have to be sure about what you want in your life. Do you know what you really want? Is it clear in your mind? If the answer is no, spend some time in a quiet corner of your house pondering over the answer. Also, ask yourself why is it that you want something.
If what you want is a house on the beach, decide how big it should be, how many bedrooms it should have and if you want a garage with it. Be as specific as possible as you can be so it becomes a realistic objective in your mind, and not just a vague dream.
Step 2: Preparing For Visual Meditation
You are certain about what you want. Now it is time to start the manifestation journey. Spend a little time preparing for the meditation session. It will deepen your practice.
You can meditate at any time. But the ideal times for meditation is on an empty stomach (or near-empty stomach) right before the breakfast and right before the dinner.
Find a quiet and comfortable place where you won’t be disturbed for the next 15 minutes. Wear comfortable clothing.
Step 3: The Visual Meditation Journey
Set up a suitable posture. Sit or lie down comfortably. Begin to relax and allow your mind to settle.
Now close your eyes and breathe deeply. As you breathe in, allow your abdomen to expand outward.
As you exhale, allow your stomach to sink while keeping your chest still.
Keep breathing in an out deeply for a few more times. Then breathe normally.
You’re feeling calm and relaxed.
Now imagine yourself taking a journey into your future. Picture your future self as vividly as you can.
Imagine your dream has become a reality. Visualize your desired professional life. For instance, if your dream is to become a CEO, imagine yourself holding a board of director’s meeting or a press conference.
Envision your desired social life. Imagine yourself enjoying your vacations, traveling to exotic destinations, doing amazing things.
Bring the real feeling, as if you’re really living your dream. Bring colors, textures, smell, and all the qualities to make this imaginary world as realistic as you can.
Spend ten minutes imagining your future life.
Step 4: Ending the Visual Meditation
When its time to end your meditation, be aware that you’re going to end your meditation soon. Don’t hurry out of your practice, because coming out too quickly can ruin a perfectly good meditation. Take a couple of minutes to transition gradually from a meditative state to a waking state.
Now shift your focus from inward to outward. Be conscious of your surrounding. Move your upper body slowly and gently— head, neck, shoulders… do a seated twist of some kind. Now open your eyes.
Ideally, you should make visual imagery a daily part of your life. It is important that you maintain your ritual of practicing this exercise until you achieve what you want.
Wrap Up Although visual meditation imagery is a very powerful manifestation tool, sometimes it may take a while to work. If you have a sense that you’re not making any progress, don’t lose patience. Instead, stick to your practice and in time you’ll experience dramatic changes in your real world as your imagination gradually take on the material form.
